Developing research partnerships with industry.

In the past decade, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) has grown to over 5,500 students enrolled in more than 50 different undergraduate and graduate programs. With some programs that are unique in Canada, UOIT has a strong track record of delivering results to industry. Whether your needs include finding new product ideas, developing new solutions for customers, solving production problems, or analyzing technical options, UOIT can help.
Collaborative research with UOIT also gives you access to research experts and equipment and ideas and information to help you run a more profitable business and solve technical problems. It provides interactions with UOIT students who are on the leading edge of technology as well as huge financial leverage when seeking government research and development grants and support.
UOIT currently has five priority research areas. These include:
- Community and Social Wellness
- Sustainable Energy
- Applied Bioscience
- Automotive, Materials and Manufacturing
- Information and Communication
The university also conducts interdisciplinary research and development that addresses many other social, environmental, health and economic problems. It strongly believes that turning innovative ideas into real world solutions requires partnerships with both community and industrial partners.
